WLBZ 5&6pm newscasts= cheap

If anyone has ever watched WLBZ at 5 and 6 and WLBZ (well, WCSH) at 11pm, you know there is a difference between the places. One newscast has cheap lighting or cameras or something and it even looks like the set is different. And they are trying to make it seem like it's the same studio, when it's not. WLBZ's Graphics seem cheap and not the same, way too zoomed in on the anchor! (ahhh!) and some of the features that WCSH does in their 5pm&6pm newscast are ingenious, like at the very end, letting the viewers know what's coming up at 5:30 and 6, while WLBZ would rather put on a story about a national story about a seal or something. The new anchors are alright, it's just the quality of news is not there. It's time to get some fresh ideas in there for their newscasts, this is what's keeping them to be #1, even if the WCSH newscasts are not local to Bangor, they are BETTER than WABI?! (in my opinion, this is why WCSH has been #1 for 22 years...)

If you don't believe me, look at this:

WLBZ's nightime newscasts look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Wlbz_anchors_2008.png
WCSH's nightime newscasts look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Wcsh_6_anchors.png

I see a difference, and it's not just anchors.

Don't quote me on this but I always thought the 5pm and 6pm newscasts originate from the Bangor (WLBZ) studios and the others (6am, Noon, 11pm) come from the Portland studios (WCSH). But I could be wrong.

WLBZ originates a 5 and 6 weekday evening from Bangor, weather update at 5;30 comes from bangor, the news comes from portland...i think the weekday 11pm comes from portland (that i'm sure of) and the weather comes from bangor (that's the part i'm unsure of, i think Ch 6 also carries the weather from the bangor studio)

everything else is straight from portland

ya, i meant that, i'm just saying they don't do a very good job covering it up, you look at one newscast and it's very professional, thought was put into it, and one newscast gets by cheaply, reminiscent of WVII almost, the 2 cheap newscasts, and then theres WABI

It's sad, but what is WLBZ to do?
Start by producing some of your newscasts? Bangor has enough of a population to have at least 2 full time stations running, hec if Presque Isle which has a population of less than 10:00 can put together a full newscast (also cheap in some respects, they don't do things most ppl do), then Bangor, a area population of over 100,000 can put together more newscasts, give me a break. I'm waiting for the day some big company buys WVII and changes them COMPLETELY, that hasn't happened yet.
