WLCY 1380 Returns on Friday

XM sixties on 6 is resurecting WLCY on Friday with classic airchecks jingles intros, promos etc. Should also be some local commercials.... Should be a fun time for all of us that remember this great station in the 60's....

If youve ever heard them recreate some of the best top 40's from the 60's you know you will be in for a treat. XM can also be heard if you have Direc TV on channel 803 if you dont have an XM receiver...

Do you still have to be a XM subscriber to pick it up on Ch. 803? I would love to record some of that audio for the site. If I can't listen to it, would someone try to record it for me?

BTW - The headline made me think for a second that they were doing away with Radio Disney on 1380 (wishful thinking).

I just called DirecTv, according to them as of Nov. 15, they switched to XM for their music instead of Music Choice. Now I must find a way to hook the receiver to the computer so I can record it.

Wife has already threatened bodily harm. Going to do it anyway.

You dont have to hook the receiver up to the computer, the internet will do it for you. go to: http://www.xmradio.com and sign up to receive the internet feed of XM radio. If you have a paying sub, you get the internet feed for free.

I don't have a subscription to XM. Having it on DirecTv will work for me.

I looked on their 60s site and couldn't find the details about the broadcast. Where did you find the story?

XM also on AOL Radio

Anyone who has AOL can listen to XM. Just go to AOL Radio, and all XM music channels are available for your listening pleasure. Every Friday starting at 4pm, XM's 60's on 6 recreates a different Top 40 station from the 60's, and it is awesome.
