Milwaukee joins Minneapolis as a big Midwest market with no AC station. WLDB, which had called itself B93.3, using a smiling bee as its mascot, now calls itself "Trending Radio 93.3 Today's Best Music." A check of the playlist shows very few songs from before 2000. WLDB is now competing with WMYX in the Hot AC format. Milwaukee also has three Top 40 stations.

The station also axed a female co-host on the morning show.

I guess I don't understand why AC is #1 in NYC and Philadelphia, and very big in other markets. Yet a market like Milwaukee has no stations aimed at the 40+ woman, who makes up a substantial chunk of the coveted 25-54 demographic.
