Funny no one responded to this. In the mid and late 1950's, I lived in Adrian, MI, about 60 miles SW of Detroit. I was like 8 or 10 years old at the time. My father won a big piece of furniture, namely an Admiral AM/FM/turntable/MONO (of course) console in a raffle. To get any FM stations, he had to put up a rooftop antenna because, at the time, there was no FM locally...only in Toledo, Detroit and Ann Arbor. He managed to find WLDM. That's all he ever listened to and if we changed the dial setting, we were severely grounded! As a young kid when Elvis was shaking the world, we were imprisoned with WLDM's pure Elevator Music!!
