WLDM DETROIT

WKQI 95.5 is a 100kW (circular) grandfathered Class B. It was previously 165kW Horizontal and 43kW vertical until Combined Communications bought it and opted for a slightly higher antenna and lost some of that grandfathered power. Much like WOMC (104.3), previously 215kW, now 190kW after Metromedia changed the antenna. WMUZ (103.5) also was grandfathered at 115kW, but Cris Alexander the corporate engineer decided to trade some height for that power and they are now 50kW.
WDTW (106.7) is 61kW.. So Detroit still has 3 grandfathered FM's on the air.

Thanks for the tip! I knew of 95.5's days as WLDM but since that was before my time was curious as to more information on the station. The site looks terrific so far based on a cursory read-through.
