WLEV is playing more of the old school 70's tunes in the afternoon. They also played Hey Jude but cut it off. That song should never be cutoff! When they go na, na, na, na, na, na, Hey Jude it should be played until the end. Especially when Paul freaks out.

They also played Andy Gibb this morning. The waitresses were going nuts. Then they ruined by playing a Train song. The waitress said she liked this song too. I told her not to sing or her tip would be cut. She smirked and said Im a miserable hungover grouch. She's right. Now it's off to bed for an afternoon siesta. I'll sleep off the hangover and do it again later on. But rest assured I'll be up to do my airshift at 6 AM. The 7-11 better be open on Easter Sunday. I need my coffee and donuts.

WLEV was like that when it first has its name "Soft Rock". When we went to Quakertown in 2004, I heard "Ooh Child" by The 5 Stairsteps, "If I Can't Have You", by Yvonne Elliman and "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder. All of the songs they played are from the 70's. This was heard during the afternoon hours.

Citadel's sister station from the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market(where I live) doesn't play these songs. They were only played during their 70's show every weeknights at 7pm and during their Saturday Night oldies show. I wish they throw in those songs mixing in with Rob Thomas, Marc Anthony, Kelly Clarkson, and others.

Ooh Child, things are gonna get easier. Someday, things are gonna get brighter! (right lyrics?)

The trend for a lot of AC's including WLEV is to simply add more songs. The variety on stations such as WLTW NYC, WALK FM Long Island, or Lite FM Atlanta has been quite good as of late.
