Quick question...has the Louisville TV ADI picked up Russell County, KY from Lexington or Knoxville, whichever market it was previously assigned to?

I know the Louisville ADi goes as far south as Adair County, some 110 miles SE, and a couple of meteorologists in the market are mentioning neighboring Russell more and more in their presentations...usually a sign of inclusion.

Is there an ADI for TV these days?

Wiki said:
Arbitron at one time also maintained similar areas for television ratings, each called an area of dominant influence (ADI). There were 286 ADI's in the United States. Arbitron no longer offers a television ratings service.

Wonder which channels and/or meteorologists?

Do you know of people that receive Louisville TV channels OTA?

FYI, I know of one home in Russell County, KY that receives WHAS-11, but it required a custom antenna.

I have an OTA antenna on my HDTV and a sperate tuner for it. I think the picture is better than Insight and I get more channels than Insight doesn't carry. There is a method of compression and decompression on the cable line to multiplex all of those signals down one coax.... On that note.. I can remember when I lived inCincinnati, their cable company uses two coax lines to each house because they couldn't put all of their channels on one line.

I also like the RTV (Retro TV) channel. Old TV shows that TV doesn't bother producing anymore.

Thanks radiotrumpet78 for the info.

Yes, it seems that DTV OTA picture quality is very good.

RTV is a good sub-channel network. RTV is received in Russell County as WBNA 21.4, real RF channel 8, using the same antenna as mentioned earlier.

WBNA is licensed as a Louisville TV station.
