WLHE Air Checks!

In a response to one of the "newbies" the transfer of the WLHE aircheck of Jimmy Miller came to mind.

Anyone remember WLHE (Larry Haber) radio? This was during the 80s when people were building radio stations to go over the cablewires. It was a phenomenon that was happening for awhile. Public Access TV would air it, but the radio station was allowed to sell advertising (presumably as a commercial station carried by Public Access is allowed to run their ads on the audio). Maybe they purchased the cable time.

In the post I noted: " We just transferred Jimmy Miller/John Messina airchecks from WLHE, 1985. The late Jimmy Miller talks about his production work with Traffic, Spencer Davis and Blind Faith on these tapes."

Wonder how many air checks of these anomaly stations were made, and if anyone remembers these "cable radio stations." And just as important, do any still exist? Or has the internet with http://www.radioparadise.com filled that void?

I don't know Larry Haber personally but if he's the guy I'm thinking of, he did a TV show in the mid 90s
(on public access cable...Wayne's World! Party time! Excellent!) called the Evaluators, with my friend
Frank Ochieng...Since '03, Frank has been part of the movie panel (and now the TV panel) on WBZ's
Jordan Rich show. (Frank will next be on Friday night Sept 15, for 5 hours of TV talk with Jordan and
also Jon Hitesman, TV theme collector. Garry and Marilyn Armstrong won't make it as it's their
wedding anniversary weekend...and Frank will also talk movies on Oct 14--again w/ Jordan on WBZ)

But yeah, same guy>?
