WLIB 1190 transmitter site ,before Lyndhurst location

Back in the early 60's I recall WLIB ran 1000 watts daytime only. Sometime in the late 60's they moved to a new daytime site with 10kw day over in Lyndhurst,NJ.
Where exactly was the transmitter site before Lyndhurst ,how many towers did they have and am I correct that the power was 1000 watts day. I think it was somewhere in Queens,NY ,but exactly where ?

If I am reading the old records properly, it looks like they went from 1kw to 10kw in December of 1946...

B1-P-4681 Superceded 12/06/1946

History Card Data based on manually entered information.
Application/Amendment Filing Date: 03/27/1946
Frequency: 1190 kHz
Approximate Tower Coordinates:
NAD83: 40 47' 21.74" 74 6' 56.11"
Power: 10000 watts daytime/10000 watts nighttime
Directional 1
Schedule: Unlimited Hours

I didn't run the coordinates for the above which would be the *new* site but these are the coordinates from the original site: NAD83: 40 42' 35.30" 73 55' 59.56"

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. This puts that site in the area of East Williamsburg , Brooklyn near Newtown Creek and Morgan Av. ,which is kind of where I thought it would be ,out near Newtown Creek.
The station I am sure, prior to 1967 ,at this Brooklyn site was 1,000 watts daytime only. I remember in my area of Northern NJ they were not loud then. When they moved to Lyndhurst,NJ and became 10,000 daytime at first ( later going 24 hours ) they were much stronger in Northern NJ.
