WLIB- Did They Spend ANY Time on This?

Wow..... what a weak debut. Music intensive, yes. DISTORTION intensive....Yes. Guys....you have to adjust that processing. I assume it's still in the set up for Air America...this should have been done already, even if you went with a preset. You send someone out to the transmitter overnight if you have to. There is no way I would have allowed the sun to rise on a station with distortion in the audio.
What's up with that automation? Too much dead air between events...Songs chop off at the end. You can get even the darn i-Tunes software to cross fade, what's going on with your software?
Did anyone over there think this out or did you just toss a few hundred songs into the computer and load in some cheesy sweepers.
The sweepers have some sort of effect on them..you may have thought that effect gave you some ambience...actually it sounds like the voices and coming from the bathroom.
Try listening to Heaven 1580 in D.C. or Gospel 1390 in Chicago....take notes. This format has potential for you guys.....don't blow it. These issues should have been worked out by showtime.

They've been working on it since they announced the new format. How do I know? Every so often for the last few weeks, someone at WLIB would "accidentally" flip the wrong switch, and AAR's programming would be replaced on WLIB's broadcast signal for a few minutes with some gospel tune.

These people that have been "working on it" must be clueless then? Did they even stop by to check their audiochain at all? Not just Itunes, even the dreaded Winamp has sound processing plugins (check out Sound Solution) and crossfading plugins (SqrSoft is one I know of) available that would sound halfway decent on the radio, certainly better than this mess.
