WLIE 540 being run by WSNR 620?

I know I seem to post about WLIE 540 alot, but hey it booms into my Connecticut location on my car radio (actually I could pick them up when they were only 250 watts).

I was listening to WLIE 540 earlier and heard the following "The following program is a Paid Program. It does not represent 620 WSNR, it's management or staff." Then they did a legal ID "WSNR Jersey City."

I tuned in the other day...heard Jewish music...that's the norm on that station...but then they played Glass Onion by The Beatles...then back to the Jewish music. What in tarnation was that?

Don't forget about 92.7!

I've been blocking that from my memory since it happened. :p Besides Radio Formula and La Fiesta are Tropical formatted stations. 92.7 is Mexican. Different audiences. I remember they used to simulcast WLIR 92.7 on 98.5 WDRE. 98.5 has a kick butt signal in portions of Central Connecticut for some reason and as a kid/teen in the mid 90s I used to listen on the car radio while my mom would go to tag sales.

WNSW is nothing more than a 5KW Internet repeater. WNSW picks up Radio Cantico Nuevo via an internet stream. It sounds like crap...

Make that a 10 Kilowatt Internet Repeater. Now its a 10,000 Watt station that is forcing LI's 1440 WNYG off the air in a few months. :'(

Yeah, WNSW Really Serves My Community.

WNYG is moving out to the WLIM 1580, but MRBI won't be allowed to turn it on once they move it and they must sell it.. if I recall correctly.

Maybe Pol-Net might buy it. I don't care, as long as it's not another Christian outfit.

And I use the word "outfit" in the Chicago organized crime sense of the word.
