WLIL AM 730

The Legendary AM is still alive...WLIL is AM only now. Owned by Don Fowler of Fowlers Furniture.
I'd like to get an opinion from your educated ears on the sound quality since the new studio transplant. Running digital STL. No format changes are planned, just hopefully a few improvements on the existing.... and more Braves next Spring. Can you say Voice Track?

It's been that way foe a while, even before Don Fowler got it. He had the foresight to buy it and keep it in LC because it might have been sold to someone that would move it elsewhere and he didn't want that to happen.
I think the mornings are still live but that is probably all except for the local sports they have. The technical sound is as good as any AM station around. I live in North Knoxville and listen occasionally just to see what they are doing and they have a stronger and louder signal than many in Knoxville.

Does anyone know if the studio is still in the same location as always? I would like to hear more live announcers (although voice tracks would do.) They play so much great old music and sometimes I don't recognize an artist. When there's no live announcer you may never find out.

The studio's are located at the Fowler Furniture store located off of Watt Rd. The studio has a view of a swimming pool.
