WLIR/WDRE/WBZB Owners

Does anyone have any news about these stations? They were recently bought but the only obvious change was when "The Bone 98.5" flipped to business talk on New Years Eve. I have not seen nor heard any change at all on WLIR-107.1 or Party 105.3. The initial news from the new owners was that he was going to build up WLIR again and possibly gets its signal back in Nassau County. No changes there yet either. ???

Well, since the new owner is the Business Talk Network, the first order of business was to get a "New York" station to air their stuff. WLIE was going to whatever the heck it plays these days and so WBON became WBZB real quick. As to the plans of "making WLIR great again" and getting it broadcast in Nassau County again...those are pretty tall orders to fill. I think when the press release was written, the author was still partying down on the leftover TMO Kool-Aid.

Yeah they are still running those ads promoting radio (radio..it's always on) and to call the TMO radio network. Party 105 said they had a new phone number, I dont know if the studios have moved yet.
Also in the past couple of days Party seems to be having transmitter trouble, the stereo light on my radio blinks and the audio is in mono.
Party has been very heavy promoting lately, their ad count is up, which is good. Now they just need to restore the stereo signal.
I assume WLIR 107.1 will be moving to the SBA tower in Manorville which should give them better coverage west. WBZB 98.5 now broadcasts in mono, which is a good move due to their weak signal and talk format.
