Its a flashback weekend with all 70s and 80s stuff. Pretty cool.

In addition to that some great playlist adds during normal programming. I heard:

Green Day - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

and Outkast - Hey Ya

I like this Brighter AC sound they've been having lately. But I think if they're gonna keep going in this direction they should dump "The Light" and come up with a name that fits what they're doing better.<P ID="signature">______________

Wow, interesting songs to play on an AC station. For Green Day, did they play the original version or a different one?

And they need to dump Delilah as well!

Delilah

Does Delilah do different versions of her show?

MOR, Soft AC, Urban leaning AC? If she did it would work on LOVE-FM, which is Chicago's true Lite station now.

Green Day

They officially have jumped the shark. My man Tre Cool should change his name to Tre Lame and Billy Joe should change it to Billy Joel.

Of course, you forget that Love FM has John Symonds and "Love Notes," which IMHO is the vastly superior dedications show.

Lite should go back to the days of "The Lite at Night," where they promised, "no sappy love poems, no stupid dedications." Symonds doesn't do the poetry (back then, that was either a reference to Mel Davonne's predecessor at V103 or the Latina at WFYR whose name I've forgotten), but it's still a good counterprogramming move.
