I've seen this many times during our severe weather coverage on WLKY TV. Why does the digital signal for WKLY say to tune to the analog signal for severe weather messages? Haven't they got their act together? We were supposed to go to digital tomorrow-- does this mean after the transition that WLKY won't have a crawl on its digital channel?

WLKY severe weather crawl missing from DT signal

It was next Tuesday, not tomorrow.
WLKY probably does not have the ability to create an HD crawl. They could either revert to SD or refer people to the SD-only analog feed.
Only speculation, of course.

funny story.
i can get the wlky-dt feed clear as a bell with no signal dropouts. but in that position, my antenna can't get wlky analogue without me standing or touching the antenna. if the information is warranted, i would have wlky drop the hd feed until they can create an hd crawl. they just recently added graphics to the sides of the screen for their sd programming in hd. i would hope that crawl technology is fast upcoming.

It looks like WLKY still didn't have it down as of Sunday-I was watching the NCAA Selection Show Sunday, and when the crawl came on about the chat on WLKY.com, the resolution switched back from widescreen to standard.
i think they have resolved that problem. when cbs sports flipped the louisville game from lousiville to a game that matters to absolutely NO ONE in this area, they ran a crawl on the hd feed telling people to basically stop calling them, they had no control, call cbs in new york. then they also ran a crawl telling people to go to their website to watch the louisville press conference online.
oh yeah, by the way, cbs sports sucks the big one for switching the uofl game out in their home market, especially when we just lost the lead and were on the way to making a big comeback.

WLKY had a nice crawl during last night's weather event.
I do hope they cut back on the UofL (and even WKU when they were in the tournament) visuals on the side of the screen-they were annoying enough, and now they have audio.
