WLLW Finger Lakes Radio...

I just wanted anyone here to know that I have begun air shifts on Sunday afternoons LIVE on WLLW from 1pm-5pm (Soon to expand to 12pm-6pm or so). No voice tracking here. The phone lines are even open for requests! 1-866-231-9255

We will also be introducing a very new, very special rock countdown show in the next few weeks. More information to come on that one!

Does the station stream? Some posters here might be just outside the signal cut off point. (or further away)

They already answered but yeah. I am on from 1-5pm and it will expand to 1-6 or 12-6 once we debut the countdown show which will be pre-recorded earlier in the week that it airs and on from 6pm-10pm more than likely.

Some features of the countdown:
top 30 rock songs for a week in history using several sources (Radio Airplay charts, Cashbox information, etc)
Week will come at that point in history and culled from 1970-1989.

Show additional features:
60's Flashback
Artist Profile (4 parts, one per hour)
Top 5 Rock Albums for that week in history with album cuts played for the #1 album, maybe more if time
Album releases for that month in history with album cuts played.

Also remember that within the top 30 will be songs considered album cuts as we're using info from AOR stations from that time. But there will be hits in the mix as well!

We made a demo a while back and the top 30 included:
(For April 1977)
Queen- Tie Your Mother Down
Fleetwood Mac- Go Your Own Way
Foreigner- Feels Like The First Time
George Harrison- Crackerbox Palace
Foghat- I'll Be Standing By
Jimmy Buffett- Margaritaville
Kinks- Sleepwalker
Aerosmith- Back In The Saddle
Jethro Tull- The Whistler
Journey- Nickel & Dime
ZZ Top- Arrested For Driving While Blind
Al Stewart- Year Of The Cat
Manfred Mann- Blinded By The Light
Boston- Long Time
ELO- Do Ya
KISS- Calling Dr Love
Eagles- Hotel California
ARS- So Into You
Kansas- Carry On Wayward Son
Wings- Maybe I'm Amazed (Live)

Boz Scaggs- Lido Shuffle
Eagles- Victim Of Love

Among others...

I can hear 99.3 ok here. I am 12 miles south of Watkins Glen, along route 414. I'll take a listen. Always like "real radio".

Well, after a rocky start with the computer acting up, I've got the bugs out and fixed and should be smooth sailing the rest of the way! Lots of not as usually heard things coming up Including tunes by Vendenburg & Jimi Hendrix

I'll be on from 1pm-5pm EST. Feel free to call in a request or just listen and enjoy the sounds of a real person talking to you!

I'll be doing a quick tribute to Chuck Ruff, drummer for Edgar Winter and Sammy Hagar who passed away October 14th.

Jeff, just read this post and was surprised to learn of Sammy's passing. Sammy would be surprised as well since he hasn't passed away. Upon further Internet searching, I see that it was Chuck Ruff who's no longer with us, but one would never know it from the way your post was worded.
