WLNE preempts 7PM newscast for bra infomercial

But the important thing is that Dan Fabrizio is the news director at WLNE. I remember when he was a lowly reporter there in the 80's and, then, in the 90's in Columbus, OH at WSYX.

This is really bad news for the future of WLNE, especially if ABC drops their affiliation. It would be hard for the station to be affiliated with any other network and remain on the air. Wake up, Southern New England, and watch WLNE!!!!!! They are a great station trying to do their best, but they need your viewership to continue! Don't Turn to 10 or the dirty dozen! ;)

The fact that a major network affiliate in a major market carrying infomercials in prime-time during the week with regularity, with news relegated to "filler", says something right there about the financial fortunes of WLNE, and one of the reasons why ABC doesn't want to be associated with them.

The 7PM newscast has always been time filler; remember that it launched after WLNE defaulted on payments to CBS for "Entertainment Tonight."
