WLNE- skype for live shots why even bother?

In the late 90's under freedom, you had no live remotes unless it was BIG NEWS. Everthing else was on tape. IF the managment wants to save cash for this dead last tv station don't use skype ever. The picture looks horrid, skype cant ever be used for broadcasting! It cant meet the quality standard. Wlne is clearly staying dead last for a reason. Everything should be on the video server unless it is BIG NEWS,- then you can send the live truck out.

Better get used to it. Stations across the country are looking to save on costs getting live video back from the field. It's not just a WLNE thing.

Since WLNE was purchased from Citadel last year from bankruptcy, the station in my opinion is trying its best to improve ratings. I personally like the newscasts and their presentation.

What about newscasts that get half their video from youtube these days. 240 resolution at that! often in either stretch-o-vision, squeeze-o-vision, or 16x9 with the camera turned the wrong way.
