WLNE to launch 4PM Newscast

Couldn't find anything about it in article form, did hear WPRO talking about it though, they'll launch the 4PM News which will run 1 hour, go to Doctor Phil, then back to News for the 6PM hour.

How many viewers does this net them at that hour?
 
Maybe not many, but it is a step in the right direction. It shows the viewers of Rhode Island they are committed to covering news. This won't have an immediate effect, but two years down the road I would not be surprised if ch. 6 makes major ratings gains if they stay on this track.
 
This is what I've wanted. A 4 PM Newscast. I've always enjoyed watching Channel 7 in Boston for their 4 PM Newscast. It's great to see that Rhode Island now has one of it's own! WLNE is really doing everything right since the new owners took over.
