WLNG pulls a 10.5!

Man, this board is dead!

WLNG grabs a 10.5 share out in Hamptons/Riverhead book. WALK is #2 with 6.4.

I am the first to say that the H/R market is impossible to track. Very small in-tab and every book some stations swing between something and nothing. Plus it's market #259...but still - hats off to Paul and the crew on Redwood Causeway.

WAY TO GO GARY, PAUL and EVERYONE ELSE!!!!

(Gary, if you read this... email me, I lost your address... walkerbroadcasting(at)gmail(dot)com )

And a Pyrrhic victory at that

Running a dying format with a heavy spotload -- the same as WCBS-FM in its final years. The only difference is that WLNG is a local-yokel outlet.

From what I understand Paul Sidney is in poor health. When he goes the station will be sold and the new owners will start from scratch. That happened to WPAT-FM in New York after its owner died.
