WLNH? what is it?

A month ago, I went to NH with my girlfriend who used to work in the area. We were listening to a bunch of different stations around the dial. One was WLNH. What format is this? Could not figure it out...Heard Hip Hop, Then some dated Rock, and Country.. But it seemed more Country? Are they going in this direction? My GF used to work with another station down in Concord some years ago, I asked her, she couldn't figure it out either. Maybe an off day? She said it was supposed to be "adult leaning CHR". But it seemed alittle all over the place as a music station. I'm in Music so it was kinda off-putting.

WLNH is a Hot AC/Adult CHR and has been for years.

That format can include country crossovers like Taylor Swift, or R&B tracks (Usher, Black Eyed Peas, etc.)

Looking at the playlist on their website, it seems that they've dropped all 80s/90s music from their normal playlist. It is always possible that not all the songs played on the air are showing on the website, so perhaps someone in range can confirm.

This is a big change for them from what I remember in recent years spending time in the Laconia area during the summer. In the past, they had a good amount of gold in their playlist, so to me, this does seem like a pretty significant change towards Adult CHR. It does follow what most other Hot AC/Adult CHRs in the country are doing, which I am not a fan of at all.

Just another classic case of a listener realizing that they're no longer in an attractive demo for a station they enjoyed 20-25 years ago. It's not a criticism of you, jlehmann, just time's slow hands moving along. Heritage stations that recognize the need to re-asses their direction as generations shift survive, those that don't, don't.

I'm 28, but male and I don't enjoy today's music, so yes, I don't matter. Of course people my age don't even listen to radio anymore, so why not target people that do?

What is it ? Strong. Nice new signal from Belknap Mtn.
Nice! When did they sign on to the new site? On a side note, I am not impressed with new online stream. I don't even bother listening anymore. It's terrible.
