Seems to me Pat Kelly has been affiliated with the 104.9 signal for many years. IF he's moving to WLNH what are they doing with 104.9, especially since simulcast partner WNNH will have to be spun off?

pat's a survivor. not a very strong talent, but now he's IT. Frank 99 and 104.9 are moree music mornings now...
if they really wnat to save money, get rid of everybody!
no salries, have a small budget for voictracking if you want...no benefits to pay for. go for smaller dwellings...little box of music in a room with other littled boxes of music, a receptionist and a handful of sales types who shouldn't be in the building anywa...no need for desks, etc.

Longtime local personality Pat Kelly moves from morning host of 99.1 & 104.9 Frank FM to mornings on 98.3 WLNH. A Lakes region broadcast veteran, Pat Kelly has been one of the most recognized faces and voices in the local community for the last twenty years, presiding over countless events from the Winni Derby to Chowder Fest in Meredith to Fall Festival in Laconia. Whether it’s directing a school play or lending a hand to the WLNH Children’s Auction… if it’s happening in the Lakes region, Pat Kelly is there.
We also wish to express gratitude to Dominic Biello for his years of great service as morning host on WLNH. Longtime WLNH listeners will remember Dom as Chris Michaels prior to his move to mornings as Dominic Biello. Dominic’s dedication to the community and the WLNH Children’s Auction has been unparalleled as has his cheerful spirit and professional manner as a veteran New England broadcaster.
Just in time for summer, Frank FM amps up its delivery of Central New Hampshire’s favorite Classic Hits with the debut of the More Music Morning Show, coming to the radio nearest you.

Wanna serve the community? Tell the truth without all the frilly embellishments. Contrary to what radio insiders have come to believe, the listening public isn't a bunch of stupid meatbags with ears. They can immediately see past all the smoke and mirrors and aren't totally oblivious to the current economic conditions that necessitate the firing of all the people being released these days. Hell, a lot of listeners are in the same boat...

I had the pleasure of working with Dom when I first started in the industry - he was a pro then, is now. I learned more from him about serving the community and being in radio than anyone else I have worked with - I wish him the best.

It looks like companies that purchased and consolidated many stations in the last 5 years (and subsequently drove them into the ground) are looking to divest at a loss. Nassau just had their bank swap debt for equity and have to divest some stations in NH and Maine. There are others like Clear Channel that have begun the processs of getting rid of stations above market 75. Other bigger groups are going to look at spinning off stations in smaller markets.
I think we are going to see a lot of local ownership groups get back in and revive local radio. There may be more positions available in the coming months-years for on-air and production types. If it doesn't happen I'm buying stock in Sirius.
People like Dom and Lisa are too talented to be out of work for long. Others in the industry may want to consider a career change to survive! That's where they go.
