WLNK Upgrading Signal

Are you talking about ratings for WBT on FM? It’s only been on FM a few months, you can’t compare it to longstanding AM stations in a different market.

Those few months have already had their ratings published, for each month of this year so far, and I heard it wasn't so much of an improvement putting WBT on FM. Compare the numbers from before & after the swap. WBT had a 6% gain in the past 5 months, but WLNK dropped about 80% ... Images attached

Looks like Radio One was looking to sell 100.9 & 99.3 all along and likely never had any serious intention of keeping Mix! They prioritized WBT.

To quote the late great Paul Harvey: "...and now you know the rest of the story!"

I bet they are trying to unload 1110 as well.

The last sentence says Radio 1 will retain the WLNK calls. So the question is where do they go, 1110 or out of market? That leaves Radio 1 with just 3 FM’s and 2 AM’s. One of the AM’s has no format. I have a feeling 1110 will be the next to be sold. They’re probably doing the redirect to attract a buyer.

It’s obvious there was no format planned for 1110. Remember the move to FM happened in early December and it was likely planned long before that.

Sorry for the Mix folks who are losing their jobs.

OK, point taken. However, my point is WBT– FM is not exactly a startup. They basically moved from a.m. to FM believing that would help. So far I don’t see any gain again this is not a startup station we’re talking about just a move.

What shows does WBT air that are produced in Indy?
Tony Katz. Replaced Mark Levin at the start of the year

By the by, WBT airs Glenn Beck and Jesse Kelly "best of" shows on weekends. So I guess they still hold the rights in this market if they ever want to pursue syndicated talk on 1110?
