WLOB FM has a construction permit to move their transmitter to Norway and put a primary coverage signal into Portland. It was for 36kw but was upgraded to 40kw on 6/7/05 which brings the primary signal down to the Saco Scarborough line. The cp expires on 4/30/06.This should increase the value of the station.Any ides if anything should happen to the format. Is the tower going up yet?

Knowing JJ Jeffry(and having the pleasure of working with him for almost 2 years), he'll probably keep the format AS IS...at least for now. It'll be terrific receiving the FM signal a little better down in the Kennebunks. 96.3 has often been difficult to tune in during certain times of the day.

I think the change will be great for 'potential advertisers' who enjoy Laura Ingram...and local WLOB hosts like Lou Castaldi....to buy a little radio time!
