WLOB Jingles

What do you think of the 60's Jingles WLOB uses.Whether you like'em or not ,check out WVMJ 104.5 in Conway N.H.,they've had some similar jingles made for Magic 104.Probobly nostalgie for the owners,Frizzell & Jeffery. You'd have to be close to 60 years old to remember them,or be a Radio Geek.

Most likely, the two that you're talking about are our "Super" jingles. "The Summer Fun Sound of...." and "The Super Ski Sound of...." They may stick out when compared to slick modern Hot AC imaging, but we get tonnes of positive comments about them.

The WLOB jingles have always reminded me of the music bridges from the television comedy: "DOBIE GILLIS!" Sure---they're a throw-back to the 60s, but isn't the overall content of a radio station that includes some excellent talk shows, sports, and classic radio on Sunday nights...'a little more important' than a jingle that runs for five seconds?
