JUST CURIOUS AS TO HOW THE STATION IS SOUNDING WITH THE NEW FORMAT THESE DAYS. ARE THEY DOING ANY LOCAL NEWS? ITS KINDA HARD PICKING UP THE SIGNAL DOWN HERE IN FLORIDA :)~

We hired Anne Darling as News Director and built her a studio at her house.

She handles TOH Local casts (piggybacked with SRN National News)
BOH is ONN

Also expanded traffic reports in PM Drive- now do 4 per hour 4-6 using Metro's
Traffic Transmitter system- MP3 quality audio via an FTP server.

The Talk Radio 1320 format is getting good feedback locally. Laura Ingraham and Dave Ramsey appear to be the strongest in terms of response so far.

We are growing the local/regional content as time and budget allow. We just added The Jack Greathouse Radio Show on Monday evenings and the BARN (Buckeye Ag Radio Network) in the 5AM Hour. I expect a few more changes/additions in this area in 2006.

We are also carrying about 60 HS games this school year as well.

As far as technical goes- New transmiter, digital Optimod and Enco systems are installed and working well. Technically pretty sound all in all.

That's it from the Owners perspective...

Our affiliation with the Ohio News Network gives us their TV Meteorologists as part of the contract. The forecasts has gotten much better since Eric Elwell and his staff at ONN-TV took over this duty from Mike Davis at WBNS-TV.

So for the forseeable future, we are set.

Mark -

That's awesome that LOH is doing so well. I absolutely loved working there 3 different times in the 90's. In fact...I'm sure I would still be there now if I didn't move to Florida because of family issues here.

What about a website/listen online feature???

Take care.

not to be mean but what has gotten into Mike Davis ? Chris Bradley is taking over his job WBNS in the late spring summer time frame. One thing i wish columbus tv market had was better radar systems. since channel 4 and 6 use NEXRAD SITES. ch 4 use to have first doppler which was their own live radar i wonder if they still use that ? EX: Baron Service weather radar. is a great radar system. Oh well maybe one day it'll happen<P ID="signature">______________
