Haven't seen anyone post about this...but WLOH is now in its new studios on Columbus St. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Bohach did all the work himself. The pics are online at www.wloh.net.

neat as a pin.yup, mark probably did it himself.maybe he contracted out the drywall judging from the pics, since he wouldn't have to write instructions to himself.
 
Thanks for the compliments but I need to acknowledge some great people who helped.

Eversole Builders in Lancaster did all the interior finish work.
Gene's Sign Co. in Bremen moved the satellite dishes.
My brother in law Alex and nephew Shane moved the furniture to the new building.
The Frame Shop in Lancaster did a lot of custom picture framing for us.
I had help from Joel Witkowski from WATH/WXTQ in Athens on the new studio engineering.
Allen Rogers and Ryan Moran at WRFD (my old assignment) loaned me some needed gear for the transition. Greg Savoldi at Clear Channel provided much need advice on...well name it.
Rod Graham at Graham Studios (formally Arrakis) custom designed the new Talk Studio furniture and racks.
Steve Thomas at BSW provided his usual prompt and professional service.

As you can see, it was a team effort. And what a team...thanks!

The new Talk Studio is now getting a workout as we produce several hours of local talk shows each week with plans for more! Comments on the new facilities so far have been very positive. By the way, the studio windows look onto the new Ety Pointe Shopping Center now being built. This is on the site of the old Ety Farm where Ed Johnson did his morning ag reports from the milking parlor in the mid 1960's.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the concept, this move and its associated expenses is what I like to call "an investment in our community". We spent our budget locally whenever possible.

It's great to see that local broadcasters can still be successful in this day of the mega-broadcaster. Mark seems to have hit upon the proper mix of satellite delivered product mixed with locally produced programming. I have one question concerning the move. How much of a challenge was the STL from the new location since it is shielded from the transmitter by several ridges and several additional miles. Just curious if you are still using an RF link or an IP link since the move?
 
We are currently using an IP Link using Raduga Airlink software and beefed up computers. The audio is good but there is some latency in the stream. (7 seconds approx.) We are still playing with this technology. AT&T can still supply a point to point line if we decide that the IP isn't stable enough.

Can we make some sort of rule that you can't bring back threads that are more than a year old, cause this is the second time this week someone brought a 5 or 6 year old thread back to life.

"George Lehner out at WTVN' reappeared this week for the first time since 2006.
 
Missed that one because it only has 15 posts for the last seven years. Also, posted on that old thread but don't even recall posting on it. This seems like a very long time ago, indeed.

Maybe there should be like a Two-Three year rule on reviving old posts?
 
I like to Google myself when no one is watching. No, I was seeking some information on how to program one of the old FlashComm (Terion?) FC-2 RBDS encoders and I just started doing searches. I must have searched WLOH.
