WLOH purchases a translator.

Lancaster Ohio's local WLOH AM 1320 has purchased a translator.

W284BD
LOGAN OH US
104.7 FM

From http://www.allaccess.com/ "HARDWARE MONKEY is selling FM translator W284BD/LOGAN, OH to WLOH RADIO COMPANY for $10,000."

W284AD has been rebroadcasting LowPower FM Country Gospel/Southern Gospel/teaching WWTL-LP 106.3 Logan Ohio.

WWTL's website still lists 104.7 as a frequency http://www.radiothenet.com/

Looking at the license for W284AD it has been moved into Lancaster...

from RecNet:

Looks like Mark's little AM will have a nice boost thanks to the translator... which will be moving to 104.5 FM.

We're calling it "Project X" on the air. Take a look at our home page- www.wloh.net
The X is an ERI "rototiller" antenna. (Which explains my recent covert trip to Chandler Indiana ;)
IMO- the absolute best antenna money can buy.

It will be 250 Watts at 104.5 from our tower in Lancaster. We are adding 19 feet to the top of the tower to accomodate the new antenna. City grade coverage covers all of Lancaster and the 1mv reaches all the villages in the county.

Good to know! I should be able to hear that in Thornville, I'd think. WLOH's night signal gets in here but weakly.

Good to hear that Mark! As a former WLOH alum and BUHS grad, its awesome to see that LIVE and LOCAL homegrown radio is still happening. (Just like it is at my station down here in FL).
