WLOQ FOR SALE

E

electrons

Guest
Ome of WLOQ's owners announced today the station is for sale. So, who do you think will pick it up? How much will it go for? Format change? Could this be a place for Jack?

BullS**t... no one said that. Hell, if your station is for sale you don't announce it on the air if you wan't to keep your advertisers.Doing such a stupid move would cause your advertisers to bail on you/

The Gross Family would NEVER sell. Theyve been offered in the nieghborhood of $20mil to $30mil and have turned down those offers.

I'm very familiar with the Central Florida market. Nice try to get a rumor started, SQUASHED.

Jack???

Probably quite true. Not only that, WMMO pretty much occupies most of the real estate a Jack would target- Jack is/should be a non-starter in Orlando FL.

Re: Jack???

Even if WLOQ were for sale, why would the format change??? NAC is a viable programming option. I know alot of us have put "Jack" on just about every frequency in Florida, yes probably even on WTLN, or WMFE-FM but if we're going to Speculate, we need to Educate.

Peace.

right

true- it appears they do pretty consistently well with jazz.

You are mistaken Dog. There was someone that said that. It was announced to the staff by Herb Gross, principle owner Friday Morning that the radio station IS for sale!

You are so kind. On behalf of everyone from the original WMMO staff, thank you!
