WLOR's second translator on air?

I saw that WLOR's other translator (W298BZ) has filed a license to cover, can anyone in H'ville confirm it's on 107.5? It's the second one for WLOR, which makes me think that it may actually be destined to pick up an HD subchannel in the future, if Southern Stone ever builds that out on one of their FMs.

Edit to add: Rather, W251AC licensed to Capshaw on 98.1 might be the one to change to a new format, since the old one is bound to the parent station for four years.

The translator is not on the air. A couple days after filing license to cover (on basically the last day before the CP expired) they filed for a silent STA. I wonder if they even actually built out the CP at all or if the "license to cover" was a lie to keep from losing the CP, then filing for it to go silent because it is not actually ready.

What I think they will do is keep 98.1 the beat and move the parent signal for that translator to a future HD subchannel on 99.1 since the fcc lists 98.1's parent signal as WAHR already even though its not. That frees them up to then flip WLOR 1550 and simulcast it with the new translator on 107.5 since that translator is married to WLOR for 4 years. Who knows when this all will take place. As far as I know there has been zero movement toward HD digital for WAHR but then again I'm not in the loop with that cluster so I don't know for sure.

Good to know they did build it out at least. We'll have to keep an eye on this one to see what happens. I think "The Beat" will eventually be 98.1 and 99.1 HD2. Then WLOR 1550 will be something else with the new 107.5. We'll need to watch for 99.1 to go HD though. Neither full power FMs in the market in that cluster are HD right now. Really other than a couple of exceptions like WJAB and WHVK, the only HD stations in Huntsville are the iHeart stations. I know there aren't a ton of people with HD radios but I for one do have it & would like to see more stations with it.
