WLOS Channel 13 Moves To Pinnacle Mountain

News Article: WLOS Moves in WNC
WLOS is about to move their transmitter site off Mount Pisgah to Pinnacle mountain, just west of Hendersonville. Perhaps this will improve signal in Upstate SC. This is the same site formerly used by WMYI 102.5. I wonder if WKSF on 99.9 will ever make the moce there as well.

After years on Mt. Pisgah, WLOS is now broadcasting RF13 from Pinnacle Mountain in Henderson County, with a much better signal serving Upstate SC. This tower also hosts PBS-NC Channel 33 and WESC 92.5, and was the former home of WMYI 102.5 and WYCW Channel 62. The Pisgah site still hosts 99.9-WKSF, which was the former WLOS-FM.

Th official ABC affiliate now reaches the Upstate of SC, although WSOC-TV Channel 9 from Charlotte also reaches Spartanburg and was often the only choice for ABC until the WLOS upgrade.
