WLS AM 890 running HD w/8khz analog?

That is a fine new slogan for the next HD radio promotion:
"HD radio. Turns Millions of fine analog radios into buzzing, hissing, mushboxes, in just seconds!"

Especially on AM - if the FCC grants approval for nighttime HD-AM, just wait until all the talk shows start losing listeners and complaints are filed with the stations; I suspect, a class-action suit, by interfered with AM stations, would follow. As of now, HD-AM looks relatively-dead, anyway.

WLS is nice and strong where I live. I can confirm that the big sound of what was once the Big 89 has a lot smaller sound now, day or night. But, it still seems to have a little more treble than WSCR, WGN, or WBBM.

The plus is that I can now get 880 WCBS and 900 out of Hamilton both unmolested by (missing) splatter from WLS. :)
