Chicago's WLS will be progrmming a "Classic Rewind" on Memorial Day. Many of the jocks from the '70s & '80s will be included. WLS does stream on the net. See http://www.wlsam.com//Article.asp?id=408961 for more info.
Yeah, I wish. I've check the show out several times today. Sounds pretty good. Still hope someone is recording off air, maybe with a good wide band AM stereo tuner. Haven't been able to hear them over the air yet. Won't be able to do that till the skywave kicks in tonight.
The full 19 hours (5am to midnight) will be available on www.reelradio.com soon.
It will be directly from the logger (CD quality audio), and Uncle Ricky will have all of the audio unscoped.
We pulled up some of the logger material durinng the day to check the quality, and it was amazing. I'm still waiting for word from WLS Engineering as to whether or not this audio is direct from the console, or if there is any added processing.
Jay..that was the best treat I have had in years. I grew up listening to WLS all the way to the end of the music era! It sure shows just how bad radio is now!
If its under 100 Megs it can be uploaded to this site > http://files.ww.com which can you can paste the link here and we can all listen via our players
