Anyone know the current whereabouts of:

Johnny Vonn

Robert Murphy

Used to listen to these guys on late night replays on WLS AM back when the FM was running a younger-targeted talk format.

Murf, the last I heard, was in retirement. He spends time between his place in Michigan and his home in Florida.

Check out Dave McBride's website and you might get some additional info on the Murf.

He really needs to be back on Chicago radio, with a major league signal next time.

Are you serious? Murphy was a hack whose act was stale by 1992.

Johnny Von? He spent his damn show hitting on the 15 year old girls who'd call in......since nobody else was listening.

WLS FM Talks was a good station for its 12 months of existence....but because of Jay Marvin and Turi Ryder, not because of those two.

...and Marvin and Ryder would dispute the other's presence on your shortlist ;-) ...

Johnny was actually working in Milwaukee in 2005 as part of the morning show at sports talk WSSP. From what I heard, he was pursuing a comedy career in the evenings, so he felt that doing both was too much, so he quit the morning show on his own. As for Robert, coincidentally you can find an interviewed with him just posted this weekend at- chicagoradiospotlight.blogspot.com
