WLS National Barn Dance

Saw the rerun of the great PBS special on the WLS National Barn dance, lots of great WLS history and pictures along with other late 20's early to mid 30's
radio history. I highly reccommend keeping watch for this show, it is sometimes on PBS Explore and on the main PBS feed between 2 and 6 AM

When I would mention WLS when I was younger, the older generation would always mention the Barn Dance, and when I would mention WJJD, they would always mention "Mooseheart".

Was Patsy Montana part of the deal? She was "puurrrty"! (For that matter, so was Mary Hartline on channel 7's "Super Circus"....my preschool fantasy!)

You had to mention Mary Hartline. Now I've got to take a cold shower! ;D

Let's not forget other National Barn Dance stars, Red Blanchard, Ray King, Beaver Valley Sweethearts & Little Genevieve. He parodied a young child but was an adult. Also help me with name, Bob Atcher?

Last I heard, she married some rich dude, went off with him to Palm Beach, and lived happily ever after. I believe she's still with us.
