WLTJ Q 92.9

I worked at LTJ back in the 80's and 90's. It's a very small operation, owned by a family. They also own BOB-FM in Pittsburgh and I think that's it... they owned a couple of things in St. Louis way back when but those are long gone.

The station went to what amounts to a variation on the "Fresh" format this summer. They now have just two live shows, in the drives, and a canned voice backsells EVERY song.

So despite going to a smaller market, he's likely getting more money and maybe doing something a little more challenging.

PD left Q92.9 for personal reasons. He was from Buffalo and wanted to be close to family.

??? i'm just back from my duty in the west...(phoenix) BEEN TRANSFERRED BACK TO THE BURG...MY WIFE AND I WERE WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TO LITE ROCK? the talent was good, why did they bust them up? the music is the same, but those annoying robotic voices are awful. in looking at the ratings, it seems they have made no significant gains. maybe the program guy saw the writing on the wall. we really enjoyed the other morning show. what happened to the hosts? since we've returned, we listen to wish.....wish it wasn't so.......california
