WLTJ question

What happened to the former 92.9 personalities since WLTJ changed its format? Any of them still on the air locally?

From what I've heard, Gary Love was selling Gutter Helmet...Beth Bershok was in the legal field...don't know what Amy Crago was doing, but I think her husband was employed either by Fox Chapel Country Club or Pittsburgh Field Club...Vicki Cohill is back doing weekends...John Gallagher was woring with PNC Bank...Pat Bridges was working with Western School FT & doing 92.9 on the side. Ted Matthews is back doing weekends. Beth is also involved with charity work...check out:

It's a shame. There was so much talent on the air there, and I hope another station(s) picks them all up. I just hate to see great talent wasted.

But who knows? Maybe they're happy they've moved on to other interests. At any rate, they were (are) a swell bunch of folks, most of whom I know personally, and I wish them nothing less than the absolute best.

I worked with Gary, Beth and John and they were the least radio-type people you'd ever meet. Not an ego in the bunch. For all of them it just happened to be their job, so it doesn't surprise me at all that they seem to have moved on.

I loved the original Lite Rock. Loved the personalities too. It was my favorite for in the office. I still cannot get past the cheesy-ness of Q92.9. But, the rating say otherwise! I'll take 3WS during the day and afternoon now, thank you very much!

Please define, "cheesy-ness."

Cheesey: "COX like"

1) Firing a competent airstaff to bring people who are not noticably better ( not necesarily worse) for Am and PM drive and going 'nobody home" the rest of the day. Like COX did to 107.3 in Tampa

2) Using the COX formatic approach of the same boring voice saying the same thing over and over.

3) Adopting a moniker that has no relation to anything else---Q . Just as COX brands WSUN FM as 'The X"

4) Just being flat and dull as if COX was the owner.

5) Are thay using the "new Q92.9"?-----that I don't know.
