WLTW HD1 and HD2 (New York Country) have not been heard for several days.
While HD signals in the area don't seem to go off the air as often as they did a couple of years ago, it is still not uncommon for them to do so.
Perhaps the fact that there are so many antennas and electronics crammed together on the top of the Empire State Building has something to do with this.
I realize an outage like this only affects a handful of people listening on HD radios. But if HD is ever to be ready for prime time, the signals need to be made more reliable. HD radio reminds me of what I have heard about the early days of FM-there were few listeners or commercials, and stations would be off the air for days, with few noticing or caring.
