WLTW in NYC copying off of WEBE?

I just recently heard that Lite FM (106.7 WLTW)in New York has begun doing a "Saturday Night Dance Party" just like "Studio 108" on WEBE 108.

Did LTW copy off of WEBE or did it just add more disco to compete with all the other "Dance/Disco" stations in NYC?

Opinions welcome....

They may have been inspired by the idea, but more likely, they're probably doing it to keep listeners from switching over to Mix 102.7 or even Jack. Lite FM has traditionally played a lot of non-AC songs though (including disco, r&b and even classic rock), so this move isn't at all surprising for them. They take risks, but they have wiggle room as the #1 station in NYC.

I made an original thread about Lite FM taking a lot of risks. I am surprised they are, but I guess they can because they are continuing to be Number 1. Also, some CC Lite FM's have Saturday Night dance shows such as 92.1 Lite FM in Poughkeepsie, NY.
