WLVQ History Question

Does anyone know if WLVQ had a jock named Dancer in its early days? I'm not sure of the spelling, and I forget the first name. The Wikipedia entry for LVQ lists a lot of the past talent, but that name isn't on there. Thanks.

Yes. Bill Dancer (spelling is incorrect)and his wife Jo both worked at the station. I had the pleasure of working with them when it was WTVN-FM. They were able to survive the format change and remain. Bill died in the late 70's.

The great thing I have always loved about WLVQ is their 3PM jingle with the 3 stooges.

Liked it too, especially back in my construction days and the boys had the radio on. That jingle usually meant half-hour or hour left. ;D

Bill Dancer was Production Director at 92X WXGT at the time of his death. It was right around the time a fancy new multi channel production studio was constructed, top of the line for its time. There was a plaque in that studio dedicating it in his honor and memory. That was in the old WCOL building at 22 South Young, aka 195 East Broad.
