WLW news on Clear Channel's XM stations

For those who don't have XM or aren't aware, Clear Channel programs 2 talk channels on XM called Talk Radio (165), and Extreme XM (152). Yesterday they began using 700 WLW for the bottom-of-the-hour news instead of USA Radio Network News. Complete with custom sweeper "From 700 WLW.com and XM channel 173, here are the stories affecting you on Talk Radio 165/Extreme 152." It's followed by Fox Sports Radio's "Fox Sports Report." Seems someone behind the scenes is really trying to get WLW a lot of attention on XM. They've got a ton of promos running on the 3 non-WLW talkers, and even on Clear Channel's 5 music channels on XM.

Interesting... but not at all odd. The guys are more than capable.

there are 4 major local news operations in ohio--
700wlw cinti
610wtvn columbus
1100wtam clevland
1590wakr akron

all 4 stations have award-winning local news staffs that actively serve their communiities and local network sisters. 3 are owned by cc and akron is owned by rubbercity radiogroup. so, lts, its NOT surpring to hear 770 newstaff on xm.
