With WLWC 28.1 going off the air and the CW moving to WNAC 64.2 this Sunday will Laff, Get TV, Movies and Decades move to other channels in the Providence market or not?

With WLWC 28.1 going off the air and the CW moving to WNAC 64.2 this Sunday will Laff, Get TV, Movies and Decades move to other channels in the Providence market or not?

Laff will be on 64-3 and GetTv on 12-4. WLWC 28-1 will channel share with WPXQ, but keep the 28-1 channel ID. Since they no longer will have the CW, they could pick up Movies! or Decades.

Updated shutdown info on the WLWC web site. Note that 28-1 will ION Life, which is already on 69-3. It looks like ION will use the WLWC license to get-must carry for ION Life. An unceremonious end.

As of 12:36PM, WLWC is off the air on RF 22. Goodgye, WLWC - We Love Watching Cartoons.

Decades is carried by WBZ 4.2 in Boston and should be receivable to a large part of the Providence market. Oddly, the Movies! web site has long, and incorrectly, listed that they are on WSBK 38.2 in Boston. They must think they are... (38.2 is Heroes and Icons.)

With nothing left but ION Life, it is a bit strange browsing the WLWC web site. Events, contests, fund-raising, an opening for interns, and contact info for people probably now job-hunting. The weather forecast is still up-to-date...
