WLXN now Southern gospel

It was Air1, with Contemporary Worship music.

All I know is what I heard when checking to see if WEGO outside Charlotte was also airing Christmas music like simulcast partner WSAT. It was But I don't have a button for WEGO. I have a button for WWHK in Myrtle Beach and as I moved left I stopped on WLXN just because I had never heard it as an Air1 station.

But the web site WLXN Radio says this: "On August 5, 2022, Davidson County Broadcasting, Incorporated ... filed an application ... for consent of assignment of license to Positive Alternative Radio, Incorporated ..." WXRI, licensed to East Bend, and WTJY, licensed to Asheboro, are also Positive Alternative Radio and are also Southern gospel.

WLXN's FM, which once was WTHZ oldies became a K-Love station, so not surprised Air1 was on the AM side. Thinking someone made an offer on the AM side and they decided to sell it.

EMF is well known for divesting any AMs they acquire ASAP. So no surprise there.
