WLXO 96.1

Would anyone know why Super Talk 96.1 is also on 96.5 and 95.7 in Georgetown? It was picking it up with my car stereo and the one at my house.

Sounds like something in the 96.1 transmission system is creating spurious emissions 600 KHz above and below the carrier frequency. That shouldn't be happening, and is illegal if it is.

It's likely something wrong with their stereo generator or exciter. Or composite STLs if they use them. They need to fix this today.
 
Something that for sure, needs to be looked at. I'd suggest calling the studio and telling them they are putting out spurs two channels above their frequency.
