WLXX rebrands to WVLK

What was once old is now new again, as WLXX is now WVLK, according to Country Aircheck:

WLXX/Lexington has dropped its Nash FM branding and changed its call letters to WVLK as “K92.9, Lexington’s New Country Leader.” The WLXX calls have been swapped to Classic Hits sister 101.5 Jack FM. “The WVLK call letters historically have been the standard bearer of what Country radio is in Kentucky, and I’m glad to say they are once again where they belong,” says OM Tony “Twitch” Longo

Nice to see the old call letters back on 92.9, although the original name K93 would've been better.

Cumulus took the biggest signal in the market with solid ratings and revenue leader to rating lows not seen for the frequency since the sixties. Also that revenue dropped like a rock. Now they think bringing back a name that hasn't been used in a generation is going to make it better? Good luck with that.
