WLYT 's Permit to increase ERP

Anyone notice that WLYT has a permit in to lower its HAAT from 1535 ft, down to 1220, but almost double its power from 31kw to 58kw? Guess this change would offer them better local penetration into the buidlings of uptown...

Interesting thanks for the update. WLYT has a pretty good signal as is, much better than the 100kw signal on 104.7. I'd go for the extra height myself. Seems like they could try an antenna with fewer bays and increase the TPO to better cover the holes.

The thing about RF is it's not always textbook. Some stations cover better than the data suggests and some worse.

The CP is for an auxiliary antenna- not the main.

Wow, I didn't see it was for the Aux antenna. It isn't often when the Aux actually has a stronger ERP than the main, even with reduced HAAT. That went right over my head... thx
