WLZT, worst station imaging I've ever seen.

I was scanning the radio the other night, and during a station ID, a bunch of people were talking about something that had nothing to do with music that 93.3 was playing at all and then they said, "I am Soft Rock 93.3." It was to cheesy. I almost puked right there on my radio.

What I brought it up for was I think 93.3's imaging sucks. It is to generic. It was more better as 93.3 WLZT. And being known as 93.3 WLZT didn't induce vomiting.

I think imaging can have an impact on the ratings. I mean, look at 99.7. They were not doing good as 99.7 The Rock, they switched it back to The Blitz, and BAM! Got some ratings. They like to make you believe that they changed the format around a little bit. But come on, listen to it, most of the songs they play are the same. Their "Your Rock Station" thing probably helps a lot to and the forums they do about the music.

Clear Channel gets a F for Soft Rock 93.3. Not just for just for the name of the station, but for everything on it. Just ditch this whole format and put something better in it's place for Columbus.

99.7 did change the playlist when they changed to "The Rock", a lot. They were starting to move back to the previous Blitz format before the whole "Town Forum" publicity stunt, but "The Rock" was definitely not "The Blitz" musically.

They really say, "I am Soft Rock 93.3"?? You mean like those Cheesy WWCD ads that have been running forever in Columbus Monthly, where someone who's supposed to be too hip for the room proclaims, "I am CD101?" If so, maybe WWCD's lawyer-owner will have an injunction issued demanding that CC change to "I is Soft Rock 93.3."

It saves money. They have to hit the streets to get those drops, unless they're fake. IF THEY'RE REAL, that means they're advertising the station by having people do those... although, I hate it. You're in a top 50 market, sound like it.

Only thing good on that station is Joel Riley (love him on 610). What happened to Chuck Gillespie? I don't see him on their website.

Someone here mentioned it. 93.3 would be better as a WTVN simulcast - like 95.7 in Dayton. For those who lack HD radios..

He was on WTVN last Sunday and still listed on the WTVN site:

Chuck douglas is on WTVN. Chuck Gillespie is doing fill in weather at 10TV

I confused the two. I thought I saw Chuck Gillespie doing weather at 10TV a few weeks ago
but wasn't sure.
C.C. Columbus let him go a year or two ago due to budget cuts. Wish he was still with WTVN.

Clinton, it was myself that mentioned 93.3 would do better as an FM simulcast of WTVN. WHIO-AM/FM was the #1 rated station in the Dayton market this past Summer. 'TVN could do the same...but they just continue to waste 93.3 on this Soft Rock garbage.

Yeah, a lot of cities are jumping on the FM talk (and I don't mean the old WTDA but the typical CChannel Rush/Beck/morning show/news).

It'd be nice to hear a clean sound on non-HD radios.

What shoulda happened back when BNS flipped was to do what WHIO AM FM TV is doing now! Forget sports. Air the Buckeye games and do news talk the rest of the time. Would have been #1 across the board.

Which is 99.99999999997% of the general population.

Indeed, it's impractical for most to get. Also the listings on HDradio's website are horribly outdated.

Wilson, I can agree with that. Bns has pretty much been a sport outlet though. I think sports can stay on FM though, just don't know about popping it on a strong stick.
