WMAL's Larry O'Connor Added to Salem Network Line Up

The Salem Radio Network schedule is now featuring Larry O'Connor from 6 to 9 a.m. on weekdays. O'Connor is the wake up host on WMAL-FM Washington, owned by Cumulus. So we have the odd pairing of a local Washington host now being heard nationally, not on Westwood One but on the Salem Radio Network.

Here's the current Salem line up:

6 to 9 a.m. -- Larry O'Connor & Company from WMAL-FM Washington. He still does a local hour at 5 a.m. weekdays but after that, he's on the Salem network.

9 a.m. to Noon -- Mike Gallagher. Longtime Salem host and before that, WABC's morning host.

Noon to 1 p.m. -- Max Marlow. Editor of Breitbart News.

1 to 3 p.m. -- Scott Jennings. He also is seen evenings on CNN as the conservative voice on a panel of political insiders.

3 to 6 p.m. -- Hugh Hewitt. He was the network's morning host for quite a few years until moving to afternoons a few years ago.

6 to 7 p.m. -- Jay Sekulow. I believe he buys his time on the Salem network to encourage donations to his organization.

7 to 10 p.m. -- Larry Elder. He quit Salem a few years ago to run for office but Salem welcomed him back.

Late Nights: Several hosts are heard after 10 p.m. although different stations run one or two of them at various times. They include Kevin McCullough, Kyle Warren, Kevin Jackson and Ark Midnight with John B. Wells.

-----

Larry O'Connor & Company replaced Chris Stigall, who had been hosting mornings on Salem's Philadelphia station 990 WNTP. Stigall got the national job last year but decided this year to quit his radio gig. He's running for the Republican nomination for Congress in Missouri. Meanwhile O'Connor remains on WMAL in Washington. So WWRC 570, Salem's DC station, has the syndicated "This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal" in its wake up slot.
