Why I hate NBC5 Newscasts. Well, I hate NBC! But other than that, the thing that irritates me the most is their audio quailty.. it sounds like a transistor radio. They are the only newscast that seems not to have any BASS sound in their voices. Compare it to any of the other newscasts and you should hear the big difference. That's why I can't stand 5 news. Anyone notice this? Why don't WMAQ change their audio quality?
 
Yes WMAQ has been using the Tower news music package for 6 years now and its a GREAT package for NBC affiliated stations i think! WLS has been using News Series 2000 Plus for a lot longer, 13 or 14 years now and thats why they are number one. I notice that stations in Chicago use their news music a lot longer then most markets. All the 3 top stations WLS, WBBM, WMAQ have been using their music for 5-10 years.
 
What's funny is... you dont hear the new Tower V3 on the newscasts yet. Unless its for the sports music, becuase they aren't using the Tower V1 tracks.I havent heard any of it yet.
