WMAQ / WLS 24-7 weather channel 7 dot something

I prefer WLS, but both got rid of the 24-7 broacast of the weather/radar channel.

I thought the channel was very convenient. Why?? They should bring it back

They're pretty much a total waste of subchannels. At most, only one is necessary in each market. Besides, you have WBBM radio, who gives a weather forecast every 10 minutes.

If you like them, come to Phoenix where we have three of them (on our CBS, NBC, and ABC affiliates). And we don't even have weather most days. ;D

Well how much does it really cost to have a all-weather channel to broadcast? Its better than simulcasting another channel or having infomercials.

Don't forget the E/I programming that is required to be on each subchannel, not just the main one. There's some cost for those as well.
